About the Railway

The Red Cliffs Historical Steam Railway runs on the former Red Cliffs - Morkala line. A 2 km section of the line has been converted from broad gauge (1600mm) to 600mm.

About the Route

There is little information avaialble about the route. Trains depart from the corner of the Calder Highway and Millewa Road, Red Cliffs (approximately two kilometres south of the Red Cliffs township). Any additional information would be appreciated (click here) .

About the Trains

The Red Cliffs Historical Steam railway runs one diesel locomotive (named Harry) and a steam locomotive (named Lukee).

The steam locomotive is used when possible, with the diesel locomotive used during fire ban periods.

When do the Trains Run and How Often?

Trains run on the first Sunday of each month (except January and February). Trains run regularly from 11:00 to 15:30.

Can I Get There by Public Transport?

No.
